The Disconnectors after commissioning do not need any specific maintenance as all the bearings/ linkages are lubricated for lifetime and contacts are assembled with long-lasting springs for optimum contact pressure.

The primary function of the motor operating mechanism is to provide reliable remote operation of disconnectors by means of a torsional pipe. SMC mechanisms also provide real position signalisation of the disconnector as well as the necessary operational interlocking functions. Addtional add on features can be incorporated based on the customers requests for assessing the health of the motor drive and the disconnector.
